Deafeny Privacy Policy

The short version

Deafeny is a bedtime volume timer for Android. This policy explains what it does with your information, which is: nothing. It collects nothing, it sends nothing, and it cannot — the app has no internet permission.

2. What Deafeny collects

Nothing. Deafeny does not collect, store, transmit or share any personal information, usage data, identifiers or diagnostics.

The app has no internet permission. It cannot send data anywhere, and it does not include any analytics, advertising or crash-reporting libraries. There is no account and no sign-in.

3. What stays on your device

Deafeny remembers your settings — the fade length, the app you chose, and the finish options — in the app’s private storage on your device so they are there the next time. Uninstalling the app deletes them. They never leave the device.

4. Permissions and why

Notifications

The app’s controls live in the notification shade, and a running fade shows its countdown there.

Foreground service

Keeps the fade running on schedule while the screen is off. Android shows a persistent notification for the whole time it runs.

Wake lock

Keeps the fade on time while the device is idle.

5. What Deafeny reads while it works

To do its job, Deafeny reads the current media volume and which audio output is in use (speaker, Bluetooth or wired). It changes only the media volume; it never touches your ringer or alarms. It can also check whether YouTube or Twitch is installed, and open the one you chose when a fade starts. None of this is recorded or transmitted.

6. Children

Deafeny is not directed at children and collects no information from anyone.

7. Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the new version will be published at this address with a new effective date.
